Albert Einstein understood the power of energy. In his life-changing career as a theoretical physicist, he would prove that energy is in constant motion, is never destroyed (only changes form) and connects everything. When it comes to our well-being, he famously stated, “Future medicine will be the medicine of frequencies.” Energy medicine.

Humans are made of energy and sustained by energy. Our personal energy consists of  a physical body that includes the internal energy of our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, behavior and words.

The space around us is also an energy field that constantly responds to our personal energy. It is governed by natural laws such as The Laws of Gravity and Attraction. Understanding their meaning is essential for our well-being and our ability to create a positive and happy life.

We now understand that, with the Law of Attraction, the energy frequency we omit responds to our life experience and returns that same frequency of energy. Thus, our personal energy affects not only our well-being but also our encounters with others and the environment.

More people are beginning to understand the importance of becoming aware of their personal energy and incorporating practices that enhance and help maintain healthy energy and well-being. Examples are the growing trends of sound and light therapies.

Creativity and color can help enhance our natural energy.

Working towards Einstein’s prediction of medicine, many in the field of energy work believe that personal energy hygiene will one day become as common as physical routines like brushing teeth and taking a shower. Having an energy hygiene routine is essential for our well-being, and it empowers us to create the life we want to live.

Managing and caring for your energy is a labor of love. Practicing a few daily techniques can enhance and improve your energy flow, function and well-being. If you’re ready to explore, here are a few places to start:

Grounding. Walk outside barefoot to soak up the earth’s healing electromagnetic energies.

Energy clearing and balancing therapies. Try sound therapy, floating therapy, breathwork, EFT tapping, Integrated Energy Therapy, Emotion Code/Body Code or reiki.

Meditation. Center your energy, strengthen your ability to focus, become an observer of your thoughts, and listen to your internal guidance.

Prayer. A daily practice of stillness and silence and connecting to our life force – a force greater than ourselves (whatever that may be for you) can strengthen our personal energy.

An attitude of gratitude. Gratitude is an emotional reset button that immediately shifts and clears your energy to a higher, healthier vibration.

Mindfulness. The awareness of what is, without judgment, and accepting everything as it is.

Awareness. The ability to directly know and perceive what and how you feel to the people and situations you are in.

Color therapy. Surround yourself with colors that make you feel good.

Creativity. Exercising your creativity and expressing yourself.

Movement. Daily body movement through exercise, dancing, walking, or chair yoga gets your energy moving and flowing.

Caring for your personal energy should be fun and joyful. Make sure to commit to a laugh a day. As Einstein may have thought, an energy practice a day helps keep the doctor away.
